Charles T. Morgan Award

The Charles T. Morgan Award for Lifetime Excellence in Learning and Performance was named after NNJ ATD's first President. He epitomized professional excellence and outstanding accomplishments with a lifelong commitment to Training and Development. This award recognizes a NNJ Chapter member for of a “lifetime” of work as a T&D professional that significantly contributes to the Profession and ATD.   Applicants must meet the 5 criteria (see award nomination form) and be approved by the Chapter Board.  This award is not automatically given each year and may be awarded to more than one person in the same year. Contributions may include published articles, presentations at conferences, activities in related organizations, sustained contributions to the T&D Profession, etc

Presidential Award

The award is presented at the discretion Chapter President for service that has been instrumental in the success of the administration in the year awarded.  It may be given to more than one recipient.

Outgoing Board Member

This is awarded to a Board Member who is leaving the Board after serving at least six months. No formal nomination or Board approval is required.





Ralph Ganger Awards

These awards are presented in memory of Ralph Ganger who was a highly valued member of our chapter. Ralph was a tireless and generous volunteer for the chapter with his time, activities, resources, and enthusiasm. The recipients of these awards exemplify a true spirit of volunteerism.

The Individual Award is presented annually to an individual Chapter member who has made a significant contribution to the NNJ-ATD Chapter in the year the award was given. Any Chapter member is eligible and must be nominated with supporting discussion and approved by the Chapter Board. in the past the award has been given for completing and/or managing significant projects and donating time and effort above and beyond that usually expected from busy volunteers.

The Organization Award is presented annually to an Organization that has made a significant contribution to the NNJ-ATD Chapter during the year the award is given. The nomination must contain supporting evidence and be approved by the Chapter Board. In the past has been given for providing meeting space, supporting the Chapter President with time and financial support at conferences, sponsoring events and donating in-kind materials and services (printing, supplies, food, etc.)

Transformative Women Leader Award

This is presented in conjunction with Women’s History Month in March and requires approval by the Chapter Board. It is presented to a woman leader who has demonstrated the following: exceptional courage, intuitive orientation, directive force/determination, empowering intent, assimilative nature, compassion.
